Teacher Inquiry Groups

Spring 2024 Inquiry Groups Return!

We want to hear from you as we explore

Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar

and Shakespeare Sonnets!

What is a teacher inquiry group? For the Shakespeare and Social Justice project, it’s a collection of teachers meeting monthly on zoom to talk about teaching Shakespeare. We review the SSJ project’s developing curriculum that brings classroom approaches for literature study, literacy strategies, theater arts activities, and social justice perspectives. Teachers earn a stipend for their participation and for sharing their own curriculum adaptations. The group is especially interested in how students engage with and benefit from the social-justice-focused materials.
